U-M’s Troy Woolfolk 100% after dislocated ankle

Michigan cornerback Troy Woolfolk says he is now 100% after a nasty dislocated ankle last August held him out for the entire 2010 season.

Woolfolk told Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com that he was fully recovered from the injury two to three weeks after the spring sessions. He says he doesn’t remember much of the injury that cost him the entire 2010 season.

“Right now, I don’t even remember getting injured,” Woolfolk said. “Being out there, I don’t feel it. It’s not hampering me in any way. I can stop and break at 100 percent, so it’s not even a factor.

“I feel like I’m going to hit the ground running right away. I don’t think it’ll take a few games for me to get my swag back. I’m going to have it from the jump.”

This is definitely good news for a Michigan team that was ranked 112th against the pass last season. With Woolfolk’s return the job for Brady Hoke and defensive coordinator Greg Mattison becomes a little easier.
