Itโ€™s been a good day for Michigan State football. After adding four-star WR recruit Aaron Burbridge from Farmington Hills Harrison the team also got a verbal commitment from cornerback Jermaine Edmondson out of Canton McKinely in Ohio.

The three-star recruit according to Scout.com picked Michigan State over Nebraska and several other schools.

Edmondson who stands at 6-0 and 170 pounds joins his high school teammate, four-star defensive end recruit Seโ€™Von Pittman for the 2012 MSU recruitment class.

โ€œMichigan State is close to home and I really like the coaching staff and facilities,โ€ Edmondson told Scout.com. โ€œIt also helps that Seโ€™Von Pittman is also going there, but that was not the main reason.โ€

Michigan State now has 13 verbal commitments for their 2012 class.
