According to the AP by way of SI.com, MSU Basketball guard Korie Lucious is facing a drunken driving charge after being pulled over early Monday morning near the MSU campus. During the stop Lucious who is only 20 years of age blew a .09 blood alcohol level which in Michigan the legal limit for people of age to drink is .o8.
Furthermore, MSU head basketball coach Tom Izzo mentioned that he is aware of the ticket and is gathering more information at this time.
Lucious made a game-winning, 3-pointer to lift the Spartans into the sweet 16 during this past NCAA tournament and helped them advance to the Final Four. The Milwaukee native was suspended for a game last season for missing class.
The junior is expected to be a key player this season.
