U.S. women’s soccer goal keeper Hope Solo was pretty vocal about possibly sitting out Rio 2016 back in February due to Brazil being ground zero for the Zika Virus.
And who could blame her?
Aside from Rio being a total disaster, Solo like any woman around her age probably would like to avoid getting a virus that’s been known to cause life long birth defects in children. So it would only be natural for the shit heads in the stands to boo and come up with those clever ‘Zika’ chants every time she touched the ball.

Not that Hope Solo is some kind of saint in immune from ridicule. Relatively speaking though Solo wasn’t wrong for voicing her concerns back in February and isn’t wrong today.
However she got the last laugh pitching a shutout in a 2-0 USWNT victory over New Zealand in the Olympic opener.
