Buddy Ryan

Buddy Ryan, the architect of the 1985 Bears defense (arguably the greatest of all-time) has passed away at the age of 82.

Ryan, began his pro coaching career with the New York Jets as a defensive lines coach winning Super Bowl III. He was also the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals but is probably most remembered for his time with the Chicago Bears.

During his time in the Windy City, Ryan would implement the 4-6 defense that would go onto dominate the 1985 season and win the Super Bowl.

I guess it’s obvious where Rob and Rex get their intensity from.

Anyways, RIP Coach Ryan.
