Patriots owner Robert Kraft ripped into the NFL Wednesday morning a day after the League decided to uphold the four-game suspension for Tom Brady.
Speaking to reporters, Kraft said “I was wrong to put my faith in the league,” doing a complete 180 after saying back in May that there was no need to fight the NFL fining the Patriots and taking away draft picks. Many thought that Kraft’s actions earlier in the year was a prelude to the team and NFL working out an agreement to reduce the Brady suspension.
That obviously wasn’t the case and now the Patriots including Brady look primed to take this whole matter to the court system. The Patriots may have a case too, keeping in mind there’s no hard evidence that Tom Brady was the one actually instructing to deflate the footballs which is extraordinary and ridiculous that we’re still talking about this.
It seems this all boils down to Tom Brady destroying his cellphone which he wasn’t obligated to turn over to NFL ‘independent’ investigators.
