Hanley Ramirez is making his return to Boston nine-years after originally being traded by the team.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the two sides agreed on a four-year, $88M deal with a 2019 vesting option that could have the contract peak in upwards of $90M.

The deal in itself is an interesting one considering the Red Sox have logjam on the left side of the infield. Currently Xander Bogaerts is slated to be the starting shortstop come opening day which would make sense to move Hanley Ramirez and his declining defensive skills over to third base. However, with the signing of Pablo Sandoval (whose slated to play third) it makes you wonder if another infield deal is on the horizon for the BoSox?
