The Buckeyes may have suffered a huge loss for 2014 when senior starting QB Braxton Miller re-injured his surgically repaired shoulder while putting some serious doubt into him taking the field for Ohio State in 2014. In fact the Columbus Dispatch went on to say the QB’s season is ‘in jeopardy’ following the injury that occurred in practice today.

If Miller is in fact gone for the entire season, redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett, a former four-star recruit would take the reins as starting QB for the Bucks. Despite that though Ohio State is entering the season ranked 5th in the AP Poll, a favorite in the Big Ten’s East Division and a contender for college football’s first ever playoff system. Not to mention Miller is a Heisman favorite and a key piece in Ohio State’s success this season.
Fortunately for the Buckeyes their 2014 schedule isn’t tough. First off they play one team ranked in the initial top 25 while their two perceived toughest games against Michigan State and Michigan don’t happen until November. So I guess if OSU is going to lose their starting quarterback, this is the season for it to happen.
