If you’re looking for a Chris Johnson/Jeff Fisher reunion in St. Louis, don’t hold your breath.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (via ProFootballTalk.com) that a Johnson-Fisher reunion is unlikely, further more adding that there doesn’t seem to be much interest from the organization.
Of course the speculation is Fisher isn’t crazy about Chris Johnson’s work ethic dating back to his time with the Titans. This may be even more apparent given St. Louis going out and signing a nice handful of former Tennessee Titans including the recently added Kenny Britt as well as Cortland Finnegan, William Hayes, Jared Cook and Will Witherspoon. We saw something similar to this with Andy Reid in Kansas City as the Chiefs passed on the opportunity to bring aboard the recently released DeSean Jackson.
Or this may just be the new NFL and a team deciding against signing any high-priced running backs.
Nonetheless Chris Johnson still shouldn’t have any trouble finding a new NFL home.
