Carey Price didn’t allow a goal in his final six Olympic periods in Sochi as Canada shut out Sweden 3-0 to win their second consecutive gold medal.
Jonathan Toews got the scoring started for Canada two days after they blanked the United States in the Men’s semis. Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz added the insurance tallies as Carey Price made 24 saves .
Canada’s win also marks the 3rd time in the past four Olympic games that Cananda has won gold.
After the game Team Canada GM Steve Yzerman (who’s also the GM of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning) announced that he will step down saying that it’s time for him to “move on”.
