The Penguins will be without forward Deryk Engelland for the next several games after the NHL handed down a five-game suspension for his hit to the head of Detroit’s Justin Abdelkader Saturday night.
The NHL handed down the multiple game ban taking into consideration Abdelkader suffering concussion symptoms and the fact that he (Engelland) was suspended three games in the past.
Engelland has already missed one game which will count towards his total five games and is eligible to return December 27th in Carolina.
