The New York Giants are officially punting on the 2018 season.
Less than 24 hours after some of the worst coaching and play calling you’ll ever see in the fourth quarter of a football game the Giants have traded former 2016 first round pick Eli Apple to the Saints. In return the Giants will receive a pair of draft picks including a fourth round pick in 2019 and a seventh round pick in 2020.
Saints traded a 4th-round pick in 2019 and a 7th in 2020 for former Giants’ CB Eli Apple, per source.

Apple however may not be the only high-profile defensive back traded this season. Arizona’s Patrick Peterson has expressed his desire to get the hell out of the desert. Whether or not the Cardinals actually pull the trigger on that is still yet to be determined, however the Saints were in on the discussions before ultimately landing Apple from the Big Apple.
