Andrew Luck is done with the NFL.

In what’s probably going to be the biggest story of the season, the seven year veteran has decided to call it a career citing being ‘mentally worn down’.

The former first overall pick in the 2012 Draft, Luck’s incredible promise coming out of college was enough for the Colts to move on from Peyton Manning and hand the reigns of the team over to the Rookie on day one. That promise seemed too seemed to carry over for Luck before a string of serious injuries previously put into question where his career would go from there.

Despite the doubts, Luck was able to come back last season to become one of the more affective players in the entire League. And even though he was dealing with an ankle injury which has kept him out of action for most of training camp, all indication was that Luck would pick up right where he left off in 2018.

Now however the 29-year-old — who by all indication was still in the prime of this career — will be talked about in the same breath as Jim Brown and Barry Sanders in terms of what truly could have been?

Instead, Luck finishes his NFL career with a 55-33 record, 171 touchdowns and 23,671 yards.
