At one point Michigan State was up on Illinois 28-3. At one point Michigan State had over a 99 percent chance to win today’s game.
Michigan State ended getting beat, at home 37-34.
The Spartans have now dropped their past four games heading into rivalry week against Michigan which you can chalk up as a loss.
And, not that any making some shit bowl game can serve as any viable consolation to a shit season, to even make it to that point the Spartans will have to win their final two games, on the road against Rutgers and at home against Maryland.
Now as fucking awful as those two teams are, after what happened today wins aren’t guaranteed at this point.
