The hourglass for the John Beilein era with the Cavaliers looks like it has just about run out.
In a late-night tweet from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Beilein and the Cavs could be orchestrating a way out for the first-year NBA head coach who is in the midst of a disastrous season in which reports have surfaced of Beilein losing the locker room long ago.
This latest news from Woj seems to take an earlier report from The Athletic in which it was mentioned that Beilein is not expected to remain with Cleveland beyond this season.
Currently, the Cavaliers sit at 14-40 at the break and are the worst team in the Eastern Conference. This comes after plenty of promise after Beilein’s successful run as a college coach especially with Michigan.
Nonetheless, in addition to losing the locker room, Beilein also came under fire this past January for referring to his players as “thugs” instead of “slugs”.
