Dwight Howard is about to embark on his second stint with the Lakers.
According to Shams Charania, the veteran big man will sign with Los Angeles once he clears waivers after having his contract bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies.
You really can’t help but appreciate the deja vu that comes with Howard’s impending return to the Lakers. During his first disastrous stint, LA fans I’m sure haven’t forgotten Howard looking like a clown up and down the court as Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash were looking to obtain a title in the twilight of their careers.
It’s unclear how LeBron may take to any foolishness from Howard but if his reactions to J.R. Smith‘s fuckup in Cleveland or Mario Chalmers in Miami are any indication, we’re in for a pretty interesting season with the Lakers. Especially if James begins the feel the pressure even more to bring a title to the Lakers as his career begins to make that final turn to the home stretch.
