The Detroit Lions earned their first win of the season last night via a 26-10 win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots from Ford Field. It marked Detroit’s first win on Sunday’s big stage as the Detroit defense grounded Brady’s air attack holding the future Hall of Famer, to 14-of-26 passing for 133 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Meanwhile the Detroit offense, managed some damage of their own as Matthew Stafford was precise in his approach going 27-of-36 for 262 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Lions also seemingly put to bed a curse – at least for this week – when rookie Kerryon Johnson became the first Detroit running back to eclipse 100-yards in a game since Reggie Bush did it back in 2013.
Johnson finished with 101-yards on 16 attempts while LeGarrette Blount was productive with 48-yards on 16 attempts.
Anyways, here’s the highlights from last night’s game.
Josh Gordon was there, but inactive.

The Patriots knew at least one Lions call before the play started. This was a noted problem for Detroit week one against the Jets.

Darius Slay with the pick of Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter. Slay was questionable with a concussion heading into Sunday night’s game.
