Tigers pitching prospect Matt Manning may be looking to mimic one of the best the game has ever seen, and certainly the best pitcher to ever wear the old English “D”.
Fox 2’s Jennifer Hammond noticed the vast similarities between Manning’s windup and that of Justin Verlander.

It’s not just the mechanics though. Manning seems to have adopted the same mannerisms even prior to the windup. From the sweep of the mound with his feet to a deep breath just before delivering the pitch.
