⚾️ Mike Trout: “I Lost Respect for Some” Astros Players

You can count Angels outfielder Mike Trout to the growing list of MLBers who essentially think that Rob Manfred’s decision to not punish Astros players for their role in the organization’s cheating scandal as being outfitted in utter bullshit.

Bleacher Report:

“I don’t agree with the punishments, with the players not getting anything. It was a player-driven thing,” Trout told reporters Monday. “It sucks because a guy’s career’s been affected and a lot of people lost jobs. It was tough.

“Me going up to the plate and knowing what’s coming would be pretty fun up there. A lot of guys lost respect for some of the [Astros players]. It seems like every day something new comes out.”

Trout, however, isn’t far removed from allegations against him that he bent the rules within the framework of the MLB. The outfielder also addressed speculation surrounding his supposed HGH use where he once again denied the rumor saying “I didn’t worry about it because it’s not true.”

Walking back on the allegation that he received permission from the MLB to use HGH for a thyroid issue — something players around the League allegedly knew about — Trout also told reporters that Trevor Bauer’s camp reached out to apologize for continuing to push the rumor.
