Mark Trumbo has certainly been productive for the Angles at the plate and in the field this season filling in for Kendry Morales. This however potentially poses one of those problems that teams welcome when they have two viable options at one position. So with Morales returning to the Angels’ lineup next spring, the team is already looking for ways to keep Trumbo in the lineup. This could potentially mean moving Morales to the DH spot while keeping Trumbo at first base.

Another potential option is having Trumbo get some experience in the outfield during winter ball thus expanding Trumbo’s capabilities on the defensive side of things. This may give GM Tony Reagins the option of signing a true DH this upcoming offseason.
