One of the more controversial decision in boxing history will get a second look.

According to the Associated Press, the WBO will review Timothy Bradley’s controversial split decision victory over Manny Pacquiao. This would be the first step in what promoter Bob Arum hopes will be ”clarity” in the judging of the fight.

WBO President Francisco ”Paco” Valcarcel said in a statement Wednesday that the organization’s championship committee will review the fight with five “recognized international judges” and make a recommendation from there. Valcarcel further added that the WBO doesn’t doubt the ability of the judges who originally scored the fight.

The vast majority of fans and reporters in attendance Saturday night firmly believed that Pacquiao was without a doubt successful in defending welterweight title against Bradley.

Controversy erupted when judge Jerry Roth scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Pacquiao while the two other judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross had the same score, but in favor of Bradley.
