In probably the most anticipated at-bat of Game 7 between the Astros and Dodgers, Houston first baseman Yuli Gurriel gave a tip-of-the cap to LA starter Yu Darvish in the first meeting since Gurriel’s racist gesture in Game 3.

That racist gesture that earned Gurriel a slap on the wrist to the tune of a five-game suspension for the first five games of next season was the Astros first baseman pulling his eyes to a squint after homering off Darvish.

Darvish in the wake of Gurriel’s actions said he wasn’t that offended however the boos poured down on the Houston infielder since returning to LA. Astros manager A.J. Hinch said it was to the point he’s never heard in sports.

Via ESPN:

“I don’t think the Dodger fans will let him get past it until, maybe never,” Hinch said before Game 7. “I think people have long memories in situations like this.

“He’s still sorry,” Hinch said of Gurriel. “He’s still regretful. He’s still remorseful. He’s still got a penalty to pay.”
