Ever wonder why star players in any team sport get taken out of games that are already won?

Here’s the perfect example.

Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau made a huge mistake the other night leaving star guard Derrick Rose in a game late that was already won.

With just over a minute remaining and the Bulls up 99-87 Rose planted wrong while driving to the basket and immediately went down to the ground as Bulls fans held their collective breaths. It was later revealed that the injury prone guard tore his ACL and will be out for the rest of the season seriously damaging Chicago’s hopes at a title.

Tough break but hopefully lesson learned.
