USMNT

The USMNT helped their chances at a World Cup berth tonight after a 1-1 draw against Mexico from the Azteca.

Michael Bradley emerged as the hero for the United States giving the American squad a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute of play. Not only that the goal was the furthest in CONCACAF qualifying as Bradley hit from just over 33 yards out.

Mexico would eventually go on to tie things up however a draw was a victory in and of itself for the USMNT who moved into a tie for second place with Costa Rica in the HEX standings. The top three teams quality for the World Cup in Russia while the Costa Rican squad will take the pitch Tuesday.

For the United States, they currently have four HEX games left on the schedule (zero against Mexico) with the Gold Cup next month.
