The United State’s continues to reign supreme in snowboarding as Jamie Anderson took home the gold in the women’s slopestyle today from Sochi.

Finland’s Enni Rukajarvi placed in the silver position after two runs on the slopes and Great Britain’s Jenny Jones took bronze which turned out to be the countries first ever medal in the snow. Jones’ medal also turned out to be Great Britain’s first in Sochi.

Heading into the games though Jamie Anderson was a heavy favorite to take home the gold so her win really came to no surprise. That wasn’t the case though for Team USA’s Sage Kotsenburg who captured the gold in the men’s slopestyle Saturday.
