UCLA was able to score the upset over SMU with what some would see as a controversial goaltending call that gave the Bruins the win. The call came after a three point attempt from Bryce Alford that looked as though it was barely going to touch the rim and most certainly not going in. However since it was coming down, and without a doubt going to get a piece of the cylinder the refs undoubtedly made the right call. The absurd thing about all of this was the refs being unable to review the play which is undoubtedly pretty silly considering all of the stoppadges we already have.
