Canada v United StatesIn the year that marks their 100th year of existence, the U.S. Men’s National Team played Canada to a scoreless draw on Tuesday night in Houston during an international friendly match. The game lacked scoring chances, with the U.S. only putting 2 shots on net out their 15 total. The only highlight of match came early in the first half with a shot from Canada forward Dwayne de Rosario testing U.S. goalkeeper Sean Johnson, who made the impressive save. The U.S. controlled the ball for a majority of the game, but could not put the ball in the back of the net. The silver lining of the match was that U.S. Men’s National Team puts its unbeaten streak against Canada up to 16 games.

The U.S. will begin its 2014 World Cup qualifying run against Honduras next Wednesday, February 6 in Honduras. The last time the U.S. played Honduras was in 2011, with the U.S. winning 1-0 on a Clint Dempsey goal.
