After undergoing knee surgery after the BCS National Championship Game, former Alabama running back Trent Richardson will not partake in the on-field activity at the NFL combine or participate in Alabama’s pro day on March 27th.

This is obviously bad timing for the upcoming drafts top running back prospect and may indicate that the knee surgery he underwent (originally thought to be a minor scope) is more serious than led on.

With the injury and declining value of running backs in the NFL it may not be surprising to see Richardson drop to the late first round perhaps to Cincinnati at 17 or 21.
