You ever hear of a “fan” that likes a team simply because of what their uniform looks like? Or what about a person that hates a team simply because of what their uniform looks like? Well you can probably really question whether or not someone is truly a fan of a certain team if their basis for fanship rests on whether or not they have nice looking jerseys. That seems like something my wife would do. However plenty of real fans out there certainly have their own opinions as to what the worst uniforms in all of sports actually are.

Lets take a look at ours…

10. University of Maryland Football uni’s

These beauties are the newest on the list considering they were just released this past Monday against Miami. Despite them being marketing genius (everyone was talking about Maryland football the next day, who would’ve though?) it doesn’t change the fact that these uniforms are just god awful.

9. Buffalo Sabres

It’s not so much the jersey, it’s the logo and that’s an aspect of the overall uniform. All’s I can say is nothing strikes fear into the hear of your opponent like a slug.

8. Syracuse Football Uniforms

Yeah we get it, you’re called the Orange. I might see two top ten lists in your future Syracuse!

7. Oregon Football Uniforms

Like the Maryland, Oregon’s uni’s get people talking which is great marketing. Also like Maryland, it doesn’t change the fact that whatever Oregon puts out there uniform wise is hideous. At least they’re a good football team.

6. Pittsburgh Pirates

The 1970’s was a bad time in baseball looks wise. You had the cookie cutter ballparks, nasty pull over jerseys and awful hats like the Pirates had here. Come to think of it the Pirates had the triple crown in terms of looks. Bad Stadium (Three Rivers), Bad Uniforms (black pants with yellow trim.. gross) and a hat John Daly probably wouldn’t be caught dead in. Okay maybe he would but it’s still bad.

5. Kentucky Wildcats

It’s too bad John Calipari wasn’t coaching the Wildcats at this time. It would’ve given me another reason to hate them other than the jerseys.

4. San Diego Padres

Ok I know that the Padres did this to honor the troops and I’m cool with that. Couldn’t they have honored the troops and still look good though?

3. Vancouver Canucks

The old Vancouver Canucks jersey’s seem to be a staple on a lot of these lists. I for the most part don’t hate them as much as everyone else does however they are a good example on how the horrid style of the 70’s and 80’s didn’t stick to just baseball.

2. Washington Wizards

Besides their old logo looking like a swastika, the Washington Wizards rolled this gold jersey black short monstrosity a couple of seasons back. I guess nothing represents Washington D.C. like Vegas Gold.

1. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim

Is anyone really surprised that a team once called “The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim” would make this list at some point? At a time I actually wanted one of these jerseys… then again I was 12.
