The Majors Awards 2013 revealed it’s winners this past Tuesday during The Majors LIVE! 170.

Here’s how the fans voted!

Sidney Crosby (Penguins) – 16%

Hernandez’s Take: The Hart Trophy winner also takes home the honors here. I think the fans got this right.

Best NBA Player of 2013
LeBron James (Heat) – 71%
Tim Duncan (Spurs) – 28%

Hernandez’s Take: It’s amazing Tim Duncan is still playing at the level he does. But LeBron is LeBron and has solidified himself as the best NBA player of this generation.

Best NFL Player of 2013
Peyton Manning (Broncos) – 42%
Adrian Peterson (Vikings) – 28%
Calvin Johnson (Lions) – 28%

Hernandez’s Take: Wasn’t Peyton Manning suppose to be done after his neck trouble a couple of years ago?

Best MLB Player of 2013
Miguel Cabrera (Tigers) – 71%
Max Scherzer (Tigers) – 28%

Hernandez’s Take: I don’t think there’s any denying this selection after Cabrera’s second consecutive AL MVP.

Best College Athlete of 2013
Trey Burke (Michigan Basketball) – 57%
Jameis Winston (Florida State Football) – 42%

Hernandez’s Take: Trey Burke probably could’ve gone pro two NBA Drafts ago. Winston is an awesome college player but isn’t ready yet for the NFL.

Best MLS Player of 2013

Hernandez’s Take: Peterson certainly overcame some horrific off the field circumstances in 2013. It further added to just how amazing of a player he is.
