Cubs

For the first time since the end of World War II the Chicago Cubs are National League Champions.

Tonight the lovable losers are no more as Wrigleyville defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 winning the NLCS in six games.

Anthony Rizzo and Willson Contreras each had a home run as the Cubs chased arguably the best pitcher in baseball Clayton Kershaw for five earned runs while tying a career high with five extra-base hits allowed. The Dodgers ace lasted just five innings before handing the ball over to Kenley Jansen struck out four over three innings.

On the flip Kyle Hendricks looked unhittable fanning six while allowing just two hits over seven and a third. He set the table for Aroldis Chapman and the rest was history.

Next up is the American League champion Cleveland Indians as the Cubs will finally try to put to rest the curse of the goat and party like it’s 1908. You know when the Ottoman Empire was still a thing and the Titantic wasn’t sitting at the bottom of the north Atlantic.
