The Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 28-13 as Ray Lewis extends his NFL career by another two weeks attempting to go out on top with a Super Bowl victory.

Tom Brady, who hasn’t won a Super Bowl now since 2005 was essentially outplayed by Joe Flacco who went 21/36 for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns. Despite being down at halftime, the Ravens shifted their offense to focus more on Flacco’s ability to throw down field something the New England secondary had no answer for.

And once again the Patriots couldn’t overcome the injury bug.

A week after losing Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots ended up losing both cornerback Aqib Talib and defensive tackle Kyle Love during the game while backup safety Patrick Chung had to be helped off the field after one play.

The Ravens will now go on to face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII from New Orleans. This will also pit John Harbaugh against his brother Jim Harbaugh who was able to guide the 49ers to the big game in only his second season with the team.
