UPDATE: The new Wade deal with the Heat is for 2-years at $34M. The second year is reportedly a player option.

It looks like two-thirds of Miami’s big three will remain in tact.

According to various reports, guard Dwyane Wade will sign a new deal to remain with the Heat (possibly today) which is apparently in the vicinity of four-years.

Wade, who has spent his entire career with the Heat tipped his hand earlier today with the following Instagram post with the caption, “Home Is Where The Heart Is… My Home,My City,My House..#HeatLifer”.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorse had further details on the contract which could start at around $15M.

Wade re-signing with the Heat isn’t at all surprising, despite the loss of LeBron James. Bosh will be back and given the make-up of the Eastern Conference you’d think that Miami still has some chance at making a nice run in the playoffs. Not to mention D-Wade’s value was probably much higher with the Heat than any other team when you consider the injury problems he’s had the past few seasons.
