Former Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss recently announced via UStream that he would attempt a comeback to pro-football next season. Not only that though Moss seems to be on a mission to atone for the way he ended his career according to Nick Underhill of MassLive.com.

“I got something on my shoulder and it’s a chip that I need to get it off,” Moss said.

Even with missing all of last season, the 35-year-old Moss believes he can still run a 4.3-second 40-yard dash and play at the same level as Detroit Lions wide-out Calvin Johnson…

“Am I better deep threat than Calvin Johnson? I don’t know,” Moss said. “That’s going to be interesting to see this year.”

Moss mentioned that he would be open to playing for any team but later pulled back saying he would prefer to play for a contender.

There’s no question that earlier in his career, Moss was without a doubt the best player at his position. I’d even say that Moss could still be effective for a team even at 35. However to believe that he will offer up anything close to what Calvin Johnson has given the Lions is crazy.
