Hall of Fame pitcher and Texas Rangers president and CEO was hospitalized in the Houston area Sunday after experiencing discomfort at his home in Georgetown. This is according to a statement released by the Texas Rangers.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Ryan, 64 is scheduled to undergo test on Monday to determine whether or not this is a reoccurrence of a heart condition which Ryan had previously experienced.

The statement by the Rangers went on to say that Ryan is resting comfortably and is feeling better adding that he could be released from the hospital in the next few days.

The first-place Rangers (55-41) are in the midst of an 11-game winning streak and start a series Tuesday in Anaheim against the Angels. The Angels currently trail them by four games in the American League West.
