Noah Syndergaard

Mets starter Noah Syndergaard got an early exit from tonight’s game against the Dodgers when he was ejected in the third inning for throwing behind Chase Utley.

Obviously this is carry over from last year’s postseason when Utley broke Ruben Tejada‘s leg, so it was blatantly apparent Syndergaard absolutely meant to do what he did.

But did he deserve to get kicked out of the game, in the third inning nonetheless?

Absolutely not.

In fact this is the kind of garbage baseball needs to get rid of. Umpires on that extra power trip trying to make the game about themselves rather than the guys who play it.

Did Syndergaard go after Utley’s head?

No.

Seriously, warn the benches and be done with it.
