The market for a 40-year old Peyton Manning is apparently pretty thin.

Less than a day after the Broncos reportedly offered Brock Osweiler a 45-million dollar deal over three years, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Manning will indeed announce his retirement Monday.

The move isn’t surprising in the least bit. Everyone knew Manning probably played in his final game almost a month ago when he rode the coattails of the the Broncos defense all the way to the Super Bowl. Tuesday also marked the deadline that the Broncos could either guarantee his 2016 salary or outright release the future Hall of Famer.
