Tuesday night the college basketball world expected to see a highly contested heavy-weight battle between two top ten teams that would come down to the wire.

Instead though we saw one team get totally exposed in embarrassing fashion.

In round-one of a bitter rivalry this season, No. 8 Michigan State decimated No. 4 Michigan 75-52 from the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

Gary Harris had 17 points and 4 rebounds to lead the Spartans while three other players were able to get themselves into double figures. Keith Appling had 11 points, Branden Dawson had 10 points and Derrick Nix had 14 points.

Meanwhile Michigan struggled in just about every aspect of the game.
