During his time in the NFL, Marvin Harrison was one of the most productive receivers in the game. He developed undeniable chemistry with Peyton Manning and was at the core of a potent Colts passing game that was probably one of the best in NFL history.

Marvin Harrison also didn’t have a lot to say during his time in the NFL. He wasn’t the Randy Moss type that would talk shit to his opposition or elect to divulge himself in the show-boating nature which has pretty much been outlawed by today’s game. Sure there’s the alleged darker off the field side to Harrison which involves guns, shootings and murder but it’s safe to say on the field he was a totally different type of player.

In retirement though, Harrison seems more willing to talk the shit, specifically to Terrell Owens who was snubbed for the 2016 Hall of Fame Class.

So what does Harrison have to say about Owens’ objections to being left out this year? Here’s what the former Colts receiver (and now Hall of Famer) told the Talk of Fame Network:

“I wasn’t concerned at all (about the possibility he and Owens would split votes and thus deny each other entry this year),” Harrison told TOF’s hosts Ron Borges, Rick Gosselin and Clark Judge this week. “I’m not concerned about, you know, T.O. Not one bit. I was concerned about myself. I wasn’t worried about splitting the vote with anyone. That was it.

“The person who was supposed to get in got in. And that was me. If he didn’t get in, that’s his problem. He can talk all that other [expletive] like he’s been doing. That’s on him. But I’m in. My jacket is gold. I will look in the rear view for nobody.

“So he can get his ass in whenever he gets in … if he gets in. If he doesn’t get in too bad. The hell with him.”

Harrison also wasn’t willing to say whether or not he believes Owens deserves to be enshrined in Canton one day.

“If it was up to me, Isaac Bruce, Reggie Wayne … I can go and list … Moss … Randy Moss … can all get in. They got a lot of class with them. If they didn’t get in the same time I got in they’d of had a better approach about it as opposed to this guy.

“I’m not worried about nobody else but me. My jacket is gold. I don’t look in the rear-view mirror.”

Was Owens snubbed? Yeah, especially when you consider the numbers. Owens finished his NFL career second all-time in receiving yards and third all-time in receiving touchdowns.

Where did Harrison finish? How about seventh and fifth respectively in those categories so you can make a pretty good argument that Owens is better than Harrison.

The way it ended for Owens probably didn’t help. Then again T.O. also wasn’t suspected of killing anyone either.
