After a heartbreaking 4th place finish in the 100m hurdles, U.S. track star Lolo Jones went on the Today Show to discuss her disappointment.

Upon taking questions from co-host Savannah Guthrie Jones began to get emotional eventually breaking down into tears.

Despite coming back from multiple injuries and unfair criticism from the media, Jones did run her best race of the year and came within one-hundredth of a second from medaling.

Jones was even criticized by her own teammates Dawn Harper and Kellie Harper who took the silver and bronze respectively.

The Big Lead

Dawn Harper: ” … because their favorite didn’t win, we’re kind of going to push your story aside … it hurt my feelings … you kinda gotta respect it a little bit now.”

As if nobody respected Harper before? Whatever.

Kellie Wells: “On the podium tonight, the three girls that got their medal prevailed, and that’s all that really needed to be said.”

Even if she did earn a medal the unfair criticism more than likely still would’ve gone her way. It’s still sad though the way some critics get hung up on the mundane.
