They were here before the big three and now they may have been their final undoing.

The San Antonio Spurs, led by their own version of the big three which could include Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli throttled the defending champion Miami Heat 104-87 winning their 5th championship in the last 15 years. Only it wasn’t just three players for the Spurs that contributed to this most recent title. Whether it be Kawhi Leonard, Boris Diaw or Danny Green San Antonio unlike the Miami were able to spread the ball around and really expose the Heat perhaps forcing them to make some very hard decisions this off-season.

Leonard, who averaged 17.8 points per game in the finals was named the MVP of the series while Tim Duncan who very well may have played in his final title game finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds.

On the other side of things LeBron James who has now lost three times in the Finals had 31 points to lead all scorers but now must make a decision of his own this Summer as to whether or not he wants to bring his talents back to South Beach. The other two pieces of the “Big Three” Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade finished with 13 and 11 points respectively.
