1. Kansas City Chiefs – QB from West Virginia – Geno Smith – With the zone read option becoming quite popular in the NFL, imagine Jamaal Charles, Dexter McCluster and Geno Smith running that. Smith would be a great offensive weapon for the Chiefs. I’d be shocked if they pass on him.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars – DE from Florida State – Bjoern Werner – This team is terrible at getting after the quarterback. Werner is without question the best DE in the draft and is the first DE off the board for sure.

3. Oakland Raiders – NT from Utah – Star Loutelli – Richard Seymour isn’t as productive as he used to be. I don’t see how you can pass this guy up especially when your defense only had 23 total sacks.

4. Philadelphia Eagles – OT from Texas A&M – Luke Joeckel – Whether Michael Vick is back or not, protecting Nick Foles or whoever the next quarterback is should be this teams main goal. Joeckel is a great LT and the best OL in the draft. Clearly you can’t pass him up.

5. Detroit Lions – OLB from Georgia – Jarvis Jones – I wanted Manti Te’o and his fake girlfriend but clearly he has issues and this organization has enough problems. Jarvis Jones is being listed as the best linebacker at this point. I don’t like his neck injury from the past but he has shown that he can play with the best of them with teams like Alabama in the SEC. Jones has to get bigger but for right now he could be one of the safest picks for the Lions if they can’t trade down. In a perfect world, that’s what they should do. If not, take Jones and say goodbye to either DeAndre Levy or Justin Durant.

6. Cleveland Browns – CB from Alabama – DeMarcus Milliner – Sheldon Brown won’t be back which is the only thing the Browns have in the secondary other than Joe Haden. Finding a sold number two at corner is a need here and I like Milliner a lot for Cleveland.

7. Arizona Cardinals – QB from USC – Matt Barkely – Whoever the Chiefs take, the Cardinals take the opposite here.

8. Buffalo Bills – OLB from LSU – Barkevious Mingo – At first I had the Bills taking a receiver but I feel that they can find one in the second round. Go get someone to help out your defense. Barkevious Mingo can get after the QB and I like this pick a lot.

9. New York Jets – WR from California – Kennan Allen – Knowing that Santanio Holmes isn’t as good as he once was, Braylon Edwards is decent I don’t see how adding a weapon can hurt. Especially since the Jets may be losing their starting TE in Dustin Keller.

10. Tennessee Titans – DE from Texas A&M – Damontre Moore – Moore falls a little bit in my draft but you know what that’s ok. He’ll be a great fit in Tennessee.

11. San Diego Chargers – OT from Texas A&M – Jake Matthews – With problems on this offensive line and players like Michael Harris starting at LT, Jake Matthews could learn the position and be a much better player.

12. Miami Dolphins – CB from Mississippi State – Johnthan Banks – I think going after a wide receiver is bit of a reach here. Take a cornerback since you traded away a perfectly good Vonte Davis last offseason. Banks would be a good fit for the Dolphins.

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – CB from Florida State – Xavier Rhodes – Ronde Barber is probably going to retire after the season and Aqib Talib is a Patriot now. Rhodes makes the most sense here.

14. Carolina Panthers – DT from Missouri – Sheldon Richardson – The pass rush for the Panthers is brutal but it’s not so bad at DE. Richardson is one of the better DT’s in this year’s draft and has a great chance to start right away in Carolina.

15. New Orleans Saints – DT from Ohio State – Jonathan Hankins – The Saints could pretty much draft whatever other than tight end and quarterback. I think Hankins up the middle for this defense would be a solid selection by the Saints.

16. St. Louis Rams – OG from Alabama – Chance Warmack – Steven Jackson can’t stay healthy and Sam Bradford needs protection. Get him some protection and then add some weapons later on. Offense should be the main focus for the Rams.

17. Pittsburgh Steelers – WR from Clemson – DeAndre Hopkins – Mike Wallace is soon to be a free agent and odds of him coming back could be quite slim. I have Hopkins on the rise on my big board and he could in fact be the first receiver taken. I think the Steelers take a risk here even though they usually play it safe and smart, we’ll see.

18. Dallas Cowboys – OT from Central Michigan – Eric Fisher – If they don’t go defense then they clearly go offensive line and Eric Fisher would be a good addition to the Cowboys’ offensive line. However, Jerry Jones likes to put people in seats, Fisher might not be the guy for that.

19. New York Giants – TE from Notre Dame – Tyler Eifert – I believe Martellus Bennett is their guy but the Giants could be interested in going double tight end formations with their backfield being injury prone.

20. Chicago Bears – C from Alabama – Barrett Jones – Anything would help Jay Cutler stay upright. He’s begging for a big body up front.

21. Cincinnati Bengals – DE from Texas – Alex Okafor – With Michael Johnson becoming a free agent, they’ll let him go and get younger. Okafor is a perfect fit for them and he should be very productive for the Bengals.

22. St. Louis Rams (from Washington) – WR from Baylor – Terrance Williams – I said to add as much to this offense as they can. They got an OG earlier in Warmack, now you get a great addition at WR in Terrance Williams who is big and fast.

23. Minnesota Vikings – WR from USC – Robert Woods – I’m sorry, Jerome Simpson and Michael Jenkins aren’t good enough options other than Mr. Injury, Percy Harvin. The Vikings get a true receiver in Robert Woods.

24. Indianapolis Colts – SS from Florida – Matt Elam – I absolutely love this pick. Elam is a great safety and he can do it all. He’ll be a great addition for the Colts defense.

25. Seattle Seahawks – DT from Alabama – Jesse Williams – They need help at the tackle spots within their defensive line. Go with the best DT available and that would be Jesse Williams.

26. Green Bay Packers – ILB from LSU – Kevin Minter – Looking at their secondary might be their best bet here but the Packers are missing a body next to AJ Hawk. Kevin Minter I believe will be their guy with his tackling ability.

27. Houston Texans – WR from Tennessee – Cordarrelle Patterson – This guy has a crazy first name but he can make some crazy good catches. Andre Johnson is touching 30 years of age, it’s time to get younger at WR. Patterson makes sense.

28. Denver Broncos – FS from LSU – Eric Reid – Secondary help is the biggest need for the Broncos. Having a player like Reid will do that for this defense. They’d be dumb if they didn’t take Reid here.

29. San Francisco 49ers – DE from LSU – Sam Montgomery – Adding depth and getting younger in the trenches is the key for the 49ers. Montgomery is the best DE on the board at this point and is falling a bit because of the rise of Okafor. Montgomery will still be a nice fit to the 49ers.

30. New England Patriots – WR from West Virginia – Tavon Austin – Wes Welker hasn’t been re-signed and Gronkowski has been hitting the injury bug lately. Austin is a small quick receiver…Belichick likes those guys.

31. Baltimore Ravens – ILB from Notre Dame – Manti Te’o – I didn’t want to put him in the first round and honestly I feel like he will fall into the second round but it’s hard to believe that someone with his talent can fall that far. It will really depend on how this whole ‘hoax’ situation turns out. I think he’s classless and has been lying about the whole hoax. The Ravens are more professional than Notre Dame and hopefully being around adults will allow Te’o to mature.

32. Atlanta Falcons – TE from Stanford – Zach Ertz – With Tony Gonzalez probably hitting the ‘retirement’ button after the playoffs, the Falcons will without question add another weapon for Matty Ice. Ertz is a big body that will be an excellent target over the middle and along the sidelines.
