Craig Sager

The Craig Sager cancer battle has taken a sad and unfortunate turn.

In an interview with HBO’s Real Sports that aired Tuesday nightthe NBA on TNT sideline reporter told host Bernard Goldberg that his leukemia is no longer in remission and that doctors have informed him that he has roughly three to six months to live.

However like Sager has proven in the past, the veteran TV guy is determined and committed to “fighting this thing to the end.”

Sager was first diagnosed with cancer back in April of 2014 and took a leave of absence from his reporting duties to undergo treatment. Not long after his diagnosis though is cancer returned. Sager then underwent a bone marrow transplant with the help of his son which seemed to keep the cancer at bay until recently when it once again made it’s ugly return.

Here’s hoping that Sager can continue to pop cancer in the face and somehow make another recovery.
