According to Jon Morosi of the MLB Network, the Tigers have expressed interest in starting pitcher Chris Tillman with talks still in the “preliminary stage”.

Tillman was awful last season with the Orioles which may be why the Tigers are targeting him in an effort to get a bargain type of deal. In 24-games and 93 innings pitched Tillman had a 7.84 ERA, 1.892 WHIP and 6.93 FIP rounding out his worst season in his nine-year MLB career. In any sense the Tigers have some open spots within their rotation with the only sure things heading into next season more than likely being Michael Fulmer, Jordan Zimmermann, Daniel Norris and maybe Matt Boyd.
