First we saw the groin injury hit Louis Delmas and now it appears to of hit Lions’ LB DeAndre Levy during the defensive play of Saturday’s preseason home opener against the Cleveland Browns. In addition to this according to Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com Lions’ head coach Jim Schwartz has indicated that the groin injury to Levy may hold him out of the first regular season game in Chicago in a couple weeks.
“It’s a possibility, but let’s wait and see where he is next week. There’s a chance it might look a lot of different in a couple of days,” Schwartz said today.
In regards to Delmas, he did not practice today but it was part of a scheduled day off.
“I’d like to get him in practice tomorrow, and then we’ll see. I think he’ll be able to play in this game,” Schwartz said of Thursday’s preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field.
