The Red Wings gave up goals to eight different Canadiens tonight as Detroit was jailsexed in Montreal by a final of 10-1.

This of course brought some bizarro memories of the Red Wings dropping 11 on the Habs 22-years ago which in turn was Patrick Roy‘s last game in Montreal before being dealt to the Avalanche.

Anyways, it’s not like the Canadiens peppered the Red Wings with shots. Or Detroit spent most of the night in the penalty box. In fact the Habs had zero power play goals the entire night on three chances while putting only 34 shots on net which seems light in regards to the final score.

In turn the defense sucked and the goaltending blew for the Red Wings.

Trevor Daley, Mike Green and Anthony Mantha were each a minus-four on the night. Likewise in terms of plus/minus, not one Detroit player finished in the black (or a zero for that matter) while the team collectively was a minus-35 on the night.

Jimmy Howard and Petr Mrazek each gave up five goals with Howard making just four total saves on nine shots. Mrazek made 20 saves on 25 shots.
