Despite there being a very good chance the NBA season doesn’t start on time, the Pistons continue to rebuild their coaching staff. According to sources, including Vincent Goodwill of the Detroit News, the Pistons have hired Dee Brown and Roy Rogers as assistant coaches for the 2011-12 season.

Brown, 42 has had coaching stints in the NBA Developmental League with the Springfield Armor. He also coached in the WNBA with the Orlando Miracle and the San Antonio Silver Stars. He may be most known for winning the NBA Slam Dunk contest with his no look dunk.

Rogers, 38 had a four year NBA career in the late 1990’s but was most recently an assistant coach for Doc Rivers in Boston.

The Pistons hired their new head coach Lawrence Frank back in August and since then Frank has interviewed 30 candidates for the assistant coaching position. Some of these candidates include former Pistons assistants Pat Sullivan and Brian Hill who are also still in the running.
