According to David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press MSU junior to be center Garrick Sherman has decided to transfer from Michigan State University and complete his two years of NCAA basketball eligibility elsewhere.

Sherman averaged 12.1 minutes and 3.1 points per game for the Spartans as a sophomore however Sherman was caught up in a logjam at center with Derrick Nix, Adreian Payne and Delvon Roe all in the equation as well.

Even though a new school hasn’t been mentioned, the decision reportedly came to be after Sherman met with head coach Tom Izzo and his family back in Ohio.
