Miguel Cabrera ends 22-game home run drought with walk-off

Miguel Cabrera

Miguel Cabrera‘s 22-game home run slump is over.

Tonight the Tigers first basemen sent a two-run blast into the right field seats to give Detroit a 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in the series opener from Comerica Park.

To add this was also Cabrera’s seventh career walk-off and his first since the 2013 season.

Meanwhile Justin Verlander went seven innings allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts while K-Rod gave us his usual one run inning to keep his ERA above 6.30.
