Recently demoted Tigers thirdbaseman Brandon Inge may find himself in the big leagues sooner than later.

According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, the Fish may bring Inge in to fill their void at third base.

If Inge were to head to South Beach he still probably won’t be a full time starter. Inge could find himself splitting time with lefty hitting Greg Dobbs and give the Marlins another option to bridge the gap to prospect Matt Dominguez, who could be ready in a year’s time.

After being designated for assignment Inge has already indicated that he would report to Triple-A Toledo and will not ask for his release. This of course of depends on whether or not he is claimed off waivers by another MLB team.
